An apartment fire in Fairfield County that killed one has claimed another life. The fire took place in Bridgeport around 4:20 a.m. on Friday, July 14 at 86 Success Village. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, the Bridgeport and Stratford fire departments, along with police, responded to the complex on a report of a fire. Woman Falls 40 Feet From Fairfield County Bridge, Lands On Construction Barge
A woman who was working on a Fairfield County bridge was seriously injured when she fell through a hole and landed 40 feet below on a construction barge. The incident took place in Stratford around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Devon Bridge, said Robert Daniel, assistant chief/fire marshal for the Stratford Fire Department. Stratford Fire Rescue, along with Marine 233, responded to the scene. Fairfield County Home Heavily Damaged During Fire
A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during an attic fire over the weekend. The fire happened in Stratford around 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9 Alvord St. On arrival, Stratford firefighters reported heavy fire on the west side exterior and in the attic of the home, said Stratford Assistant Fire Chief Robert Daniel. Police are investigating after a car crashed into two different houses in Fairfield County. The incident took place on Monday, March 7, at the intersection of Stonybrook Road and Success Avenue, said the Stratford Fire Department. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle had crashed into two houses, the department said. Three Injured After Fire Breaks Out At Fairfield County Home
Three people were injured during a fire at a Fairfield County home. The fire started around 9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, at a home located at 646 Hallett St., in Bridgeport. According to Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport, those injured were found on the ground in the front of the home and their injuries were consistent with a fall. Numerous People Rescued After Residential Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
Numerous residents were rescued from an apartment fire in Fairfield County. The fire started around 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, at 1130 Williams St. in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.
