Fairfield County Man Wanted For Stabbing Death Extradited, Police Say
A 32-year-old Fairfield County man facing a murder charge for the 2021 stabbing death of a man found dead in a car was extradited some four months after his arrest.
Donald Copeland, age 32, of Bridgeport, was transported to Stamford on Monday, June 27, to face charges in the stabbing death of a Norwalk man.
Copeland was initially arrested in Poughkeepsie, New York, by the US Marshall during a raid on a home on Friday, Feb. 18, said Lt. Thomas Scanlon, of the Stamford Police.

ID Released For 25-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed Outside Club In Fairfield County
Police have identified a Fairfield County man who died after a stabbing at a popular downtown nightclub, while a second man remains in critical condition.
The incident took place in Bridgeport around 2 a.m., on Sunday, June 5 outside of Club Azul on Madison Avenue.
Albert Josue Hernandez-Martinez, age 25, was found outside the club with life-threatening stab wounds to his “torso, head, and extremities,” said. Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.
He died later Sunday from his injuries, police said.

Man Stabbed To Death Outside Fairfield County Nightclub, Another Critical, Police Say
One man was killed and another is in critical condition following a stabbing outside a popular Fairfield County nightclub.
The incident took place in Bridgeport around 1:55 a.m., Sunday, June 5 at the. Club Azul, located at 922 Madison Ave.
When officers responded to a reported stabbing/assault at the club, they found a 27-year-old Bridgeport man with deep wounds and lacerations to his torso, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.
The victim was quickly transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition, Gilleran said.
