Springfield Crash Sends Five To Hospital
Five people in Western Massachusetts were injured during a two-car crash. The crash took place in Hampden County around 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 2 on Leyfred Terrace in Springfield. One of the cars involved in the crash.Springfield Fire Department Springfield fire crews who responded to the crash said the five people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said the Spring Fire Department. An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash.

One Hospitalized After Crash Involving School Bus In Springfield
One person was injured in Western Massachusetts during a multi-vehicle crash with a school bus. The crash took place in Hampden County around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, in Springfield on Chestnut Street, according to the Springfield Fire Department. When rescue crews arrived on the scene, they found one passenger who had to be extricated from a passenger vehicle and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the department said. There were no additional injuries reported to the passengers on the school bus.

Two Rescued After Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Region
Two people were rescued from a third-floor apartment in Western Massachusetts during a two-alarm fire. The fire started around 3 a.m., Monday, Dec. 27 in Springfield at 858 Belmont Ave. Springfield Fire Department officials said two people were rescued from the third floor using ladders. One of those rescued was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, another was treated at the scene, the department said. Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour. The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is currently investigating.

Residents Rescued After Fire Breaks Out In Region
Footage of body cameras worn by Western Massachusetts police officers has been released to the public showing them rescuing residents from a burning building. The incident took place in Hampden County around 4:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13, when members of the Springfield Police Department responded to a call for a fire at a multi-family home on Fort Pleasant Avenue. Body Recovered From River In Region
A man's body has been recovered from a river in Western Massachusetts. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police Department, the body was found around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, when officers were called to the 500 block of Hancock Street for a report of a body in the Mill River. Members of the Springfield Fire department recovered the body. Walsh said there were no indications of suspicious activity, and the incident is being investigated by the Detective Bureau. Two Hospitalized After Crash In Region
Two people were hospitalized after a crash on a busy roadway in the region. It happened on Tuesday, Sept. 21 in Hampden County on Liberty Street in Springfield.
