Sally’s Apizza, the iconic New Haven restaurant and bar founded by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938, is expanding. The restaurant announced a new shop will open in Hartford County in Wethersfield on Thursday, Aug. 29. A man faces decades in prison after admitting to robbing two Connecticut businesses and pistol-whipping clerks at both, federal officials announced. New Haven County resident Kenneth Strothers of Meriden, age 27, pleaded guilty on Monday, Feb. 26 to federal robbery charges, the US Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut announced on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
