The federal REAL ID deadline is officially here — but travelers say enforcement may not be as strict as advertised. A passenger's sarcastic comment about having a bomb in his bag triggered a major security response, delaying flights at Tweed New Haven Airport on Thursday, Feb. 13, as security officials searched for the non-existent threat. TSA agents in Connecticut made an interesting find in one woman's carry-on bag. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, TSA officers at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks found a replica of a Flintlock pistol that had been retooled into a key hook in the bag, according to a tweet by TSA New England spokesman Dan Velez.
