The incident occurred in New Canaan shortly after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. According to Lt. Suspects On Run After Home Burglary Interrupted In Westfield Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly broke into an occupied home and fled when officers arrived in Western Massachusetts. The incident took place in Hampden County around 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5 in Westfield at a home on Crescent Circle. Westfield Police responded to the scene after the resident called 911 when she heard someone in the basement of her home, police said. When officers arrived, one suspect fled on foot into the woods. Officer Struck By Vehicle On Massachusetts Roadway A large search is underway by Massachusetts State Police after a police officer was hit by a car while attempting to arrest a suspect. The incident happened in Worcester County around 10:30 a.m. on Mechanic Street in Fitchburg. According to the state police, a local police officer who is part of an MSP task force was injured after being struck by a vehicle.
