Update: ID Released For Danbury 40-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Car This story has been updated. The identity has been released of a man who was struck and killed by a passing car in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Danbury around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20 in the area of Lake Avenue Extension and Mill Ridge Road. According to Erin Henry, spokeswoman for the Danbury Police, officers found 40-year-old Garrett Rich of Danbury, lying in the westbound lane of Lake Avenue Extension in front of the Ethan Allen Hotel with significant injuries. Teen Duo Who Stole SUV May Be Involved In Pair Of Shootings, Danbury Police Say Two Danbury teens have been arrested for allegedly stealing a Honda CRV that may have been involved with two shootings in the area and taking police on a high-speed pursuit. The incidents began in Danbury around 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23 when officers responded to Mill Ridge Road for two separate shots fired complaints, police said. In both incidents, homes were shot at by one or more occupants of a car driving through the area. As a result, several of the houses were damaged by bullets.
