Kevin Esterly — the Pennsylvania man who ran off to Mexico with a teenage girl in 2018 — has now been convicted of repeatedly raping the same victim when she was a child, prosecutors announced on Wednesday, March 5.
The disturbing allegations first emerged when the victim came forward to police in February 2025, saying Esterly had sexually abused her for years, beginning when she was a child.

A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 26 years, nine months to 56 years, 10 months in state prison for causing the high-speed hit-and-run crash that killed a Connecticut couple in Bucks County last February.
John Thomas Wadlinger Jr., 32, of Bensalem, received the sentence from Common Pleas Judge C. Theodore Fritsch on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at the Bucks County Justice Center. A Connecticut man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in his apartment and police found a large cache of drugs.
New Haven County resident David Edward Vasquez, age 35, of Milford, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
According to Milford Police, officers and the Milford Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at 5 Schooner Lane, on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
