The White House has just launched COVID.gov, a website designed to consolidate information regarding everything from free high-quality masks and antiviral pills to vaccines, tests, and treatments. Covid-19: Fairfield County Now Added To CDC's 'High Transmission' Category Fairfield County has been added to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's list of counties that recorded a high level of community transmission of COVID-19. In the week from Tuesday, Aug. 10 through Monday, Aug. 16, Fairfield County had a high level of community transmission, according to the CDC. This means at least 100 COVID-19 cases were reported per 100,000 people during that time period.  The CDC recommends that everyone, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks in indoor public spaces in counties with substantial or high community transmission.
