A Connecticut man has admitted to distributing fentanyl following a lengthy investigation by police in Hartford County, authorities announced. US Attorney Leonard Boyle announced that Rocky Hill resident Sean Thomas, age 32, has pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. An investigation was launched in 2020 as police in Hartford investigated Thomas and other alleged dealers for distributing fentanyl and marijuana. A report of an attempted break-in in Connecticut led police to arrest a 25-year-old on charges of driving under the influence and possession of drugs. Troopers responded to a report of an individual possibly breaking into a Litchfield County home in Roxbury at about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, according to Connecticut State Police. CT Man Busted By State Police With Pound Of Pot On I-95
A Connecticut man who was stopped by New York State Police on I-95 in Westchester for a traffic violation was busted with more than a pound of marijuana in his car, authorities announced. Troopers on patrol on I-95 in Mamaroneck stopped Hartford County resident Angel Rodriguez, Jr., age 29, of Rocky Hill, when he committed a vehicle and traffic violation in the area. A 17-year-old from Fairfield County is facing misdemeanor charges after police said she admitted that she smoked marijuana while driving before crashing her vehicle. Health officials in Connecticut have issued a warning regarding fentanyl-laced marijuana after dozens of overdoses. The Connecticut Overdose Response Strategy and the Connecticut Department of Public Health, have recently received reports of overdose patients who have exhibited opioid overdose symptoms and required naloxone for revival. A Connecticut man who was found asleep inside a school bus was allegedly busted with more than 11 pounds of marijuana. Three people have been arrested for allegedly selling "extremely large amounts," of marijuana, vape pens, and untaxed cigarettes at an area smoke shop. The bust took place on Monday, Aug. 16, in Fairfield County at the Smokers Box smoke shop at 1668 Park Ave., in Bridgeport.
