Bust Made In Fatal Sidewalk Stabbing In CT Months After Attack Connecticut police say they arrested a 36-year-old man in a two-month-old fatal stabbing that left a 26-year-old dead in New Haven, authorities said.  Thomas Norfleet, age 36, of New Haven, is accused of fatally stabbing Shamar Gibson during an argument on a sidewalk on July 6, New Haven police said in a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 5.  Norfleet and Gibson got into an argument over Norfleet's niece around 2 p.m. on Orchard Street. Woman Slain In Springfield Domestic Assault ID'd; More Charges Coming For Alleged Killer A 45-year-old Springfield woman who was severely attacked during a domestic dispute died early Thursday morning, May 16, of her wounds after more than two weeks in the hospital, authorities said.  Quitiza L. Holmes, of the Burton/Holmes family, was found suffering from a severe head wound just before 5 a.m. on April 30 at a home on Federal Street.  Kenneth Robson, 67, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with armed assault to murder, the Hampden District Attorney said. $3K Reward: Puppy Found Dead In Milk Crate In CT Police and animal control officials are investigating and offering a reward after a puppy was found shot dead in a milk crate in Connecticut. The puppy was discovered in New Haven County around 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, in the hamlet of Fair Haven, said Capt. Rose Dell, of the New Haven Police. Dell said two officers on patrol found the puppy in the crate on Poplar Street. An investigation was started with the help of Animal Control officers who discovered the puppy had been shot.
