CT Man Charged With Threatening Victim With Shotgun
A 34-year-old Connecticut man is being held on bond after allegedly threatening a victim with a rubber bullet shotgun at a hotel. New Haven County resident Jason Jacobs, of Milford, was charged on Monday, Sept. 2, at the Red Roof Inn at 10 Rowe Ave., in Milford. According to Milford Police, officers responded to a threat with a weapon charge at the hotel. An investigation found Jacobs threatened the victim while brandishing a rubber bullet shotgun with two children in the room, police said. Ridgefield Man Accused Of Paying 15-Year-Old For Sex In Redding
A Fairfield County man is behind bars for allegedly paying a 15-year-old to have sex at an area hotel. David Birkrant, age 45, of Ridgefield, turned himself in to Redding Police on Tuesday, June 11, on a warrant on charges of employing a minor in an obscene performance. According to Capt. Timothy Succi of the Redding Police, in March, the department received information from the Bergen County, New Jersey Prosecutor's Officer regarding a possible sexual assault that occurred at the Days Inn in Redding in February. This Fairfield County Hotel Rates Among Top 25 In US In New Report
A Fairfield County hotel is one of the top 25 in the United States, according to a new ranking from TripAdvisor. The travel website ranked Delamar Southport 22nd in its 2021 list of the top hotels in the country. The luxury hotel is located at 275 Old Post Road in Southport. The hotel features a spa and a restaurant serving farm-to-table dishes. Delamar Southport also has suites that are equipped with a fireplace, kitchen and living room area.
