A man wanted for financial crimes in New York was arrested after a tense three-hour standoff with Stamford police at a downtown apartment building, authorities said. Jerry Genesis, 34, barricaded himself inside The Urby apartments on Greyrock Place after officers arrived to serve a warrant. When they knocked on the door, Genesis “slammed the door in their faces and refused to come out,” according to police. Man Pours Gas On Woman, Trailer In Middletown, Police Say
An investigation continues after a Connecticut man allegedly poured gas on a woman and a trailer and threatened to set them on fire before holding police at bay for more than an hour. The incident took place in Middlesex County around 10:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 at 500 Washington St., in Middletown.
