Middlesex County resident Steven Donen, age 66, of Cromwell, was charged on Monday, July 31 at his Cromwell home. According to Cromwell Police Chief Frederick Sifodaskalakis, on Friday, July 28, officers went to the home for a medical check after receiving a request from a medical office that the victim had missed several appointments. The incident took place in Norwalk around 10:15 p.m., Monday, May 8 at 2 Cossett Road, said Deputy Chief of the Norwalk Fire Department Steve Shay. Chief Robert Kalamaras reported that the Fairfield Police and Animal Control rescued over 80 animals from a home on Churchill Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, by members of the Fairfield Fire Department, who were assisting the resident of the home following a medical emergency. According to Fairfield Police investigators, upon arrival at the scene, officers entered the home and found its interior to be in a state of squalor with animal waste throughout.…
