Third Suspect Busted In Fatal I-391 Shooting In Western Mass
Police have arrested a third person they say was involved in the fatal shooting of Guyton Winspeare on a stretch of I-391 in Holyoke two months ago, authorities said. Miguel Dones, 21, of Springfield, is charged with murder and a slew of drug offenses after police found narcotics and an AR-15-style rifle in his car during a traffic stop, the Hampden District Attorney said. Woman Slain In Springfield Domestic Assault ID'd; More Charges Coming For Alleged Killer
A 45-year-old Springfield woman who was severely attacked during a domestic dispute died early Thursday morning, May 16, of her wounds after more than two weeks in the hospital, authorities said. Quitiza L. Holmes, of the Burton/Holmes family, was found suffering from a severe head wound just before 5 a.m. on April 30 at a home on Federal Street. Kenneth Robson, 67, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with armed assault to murder, the Hampden District Attorney said. Prosecutors plan to charge him with murder following Quitiza's death.
