Skeletal Remains Found At Greenwich Construction Site Declared Of 'Historic Nature'
The Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says human remains discovered at a Greenwich construction site last week are “of a historic nature.” An excavator unearthed skeletal remains at the construction site in northern Greenwich on Thursday, Sept. 18, according to police. Authorities have not disclosed the exact location. The OCME collected the bones and determined they were “of considerable age," the agency said on Friday, Sept. 26. Greenwich Schools Threat Likely 'Swatting' Incident, Police Say
A threat to schools in a Fairfield County town has been deemed a swatting incident by officials. The incident took place on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when police became aware of a vague threat through social media directed against the Greenwich School System and one of the town’s middle schools. A firefighter from Fairfield County is being praised for his heroic actions after he helped rescue residents from a burning apartment while off-duty. An eye doctor from Westchester who had practices throughout the Hudson Valley and Fairfield County who was previously charged with healthcare fraud has been sentenced for attempting to exploit the COVID-19 pandemic through loan fraud.
