Police Officer Injured In Head-On CT Crash A Connecticut police officer was injured along with several others during a head-on crash with a vehicle that allegedly crossed the center line on a busy roadway. The crash took place in Hartford County around 4:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 in Glastonbury on Hebron Avenue. An investigation found that a Ford Fusion was traveling west on Hebron Avenue crossed the center line just west of Hawthorne Mead Drive, sideswiped a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling in the opposite direction, and then struck a Glastonbury Police cruiser head-on, said Lt. CT Business Owner Sentenced For Filing False Federal Income Tax Returns A Connecticut business owner will spend time behind bars after admitting to filing false tax returns. Hartford County resident George Lee, age 51, of Glastonbury, who operates USA Paving has been sentenced to six months in prison followed by a year of supervised release after pleading guilty in July 2021 to one count of filing a false tax return. Driver Charged After Crash Killed Woman, CT State Police Say A 63-year-old man is facing charges in a two-vehicle crash on a Connecticut highway that killed a 58-year-old woman.  Mark Herbst, of Hartford, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 8, and charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, according to Connecticut State Police.
