Man Wanted On Child Porn Charges Hid In Woodstock Woods For Months: US Marshals
A 40-year-old wanted man was found hiding in a camp deep in the woods in Windham County on Monday, Oct. 21, after months on the run, authorities said.
Steven Labrecque, 40, is wanted by authorities in Massachusetts on charges of child pornography, photographing intimate parts of a child, intimidation of a witness, reckless endangerment of a child, threatening, obscene matter to a minor, assault, and battery, the US Marshal Service said.

Fairfield County Town Named Safest In Country, Study Says
Residents in one Connecticut community can sleep especially soundly knowing that their town is the safest in the nation, according to a new study.
A new study from Neighborhood Scout pronounced the town of Ridgefield, in Fairfield County, the safest out of any in the nation.
The report revealed the 100 safest cities in the US with 25,000 or more people, using data on the total number of property and violent crimes per 1,000 residents.
These communities have some of the lowest rates of burglary, theft, murder, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault in the nation.

Tornado Watch Issued For Much Of Region, With 60 MPH Wind Gusts, Hail Also Possible
As a slow-moving storm system barrels through the Northeast, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for much of the region until 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16.
It includes parts of southeastern New York -- Long Island, as well as Westchester, and Putnam counties -- as well as all eight counties in Connecticut, and the following counties in Massachusetts: Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, and Worcester.

Man, Woman Each Claim $4 Million Prizes In Massachusetts State Lottery
Two people each claimed $4 million Massachusetts Lottery prizes last week.
David Spillane, a trustee representing Wolverine Nominee Trust of Quincy in Norfolk County, accepted a “100X The Money” instant ticket prize, the lottery reported on Monday, Aug. 8.
The trust chose to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000, MA Lottery said.
According to the announcement, the winning ticket was purchased at Old Gold Convenience Store, located at 326 Union St. in Franklin.
