Suspect Nabbed After Woman Driving SUV Killed In Hit-Run CT Crash With Minivan A Connecticut man allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 23-year-old woman has been captured by police and charged with negligent homicide. The incident occurred in Hartford around 6:10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Adelaide Street. Sgt. Chris Mastroianni of the Hartford Police said Middlesex County resident Tonyque Davis, of the town of Portland, was driving a Jeep SUV when she was hit by a Toyota minivan that fled the scene. Nikia Rankins, age 27, of Hartford, died on Friday, July 1 from injuries incurred during the incident on Sunday, June 19. Rankins was found shot when police responded to a report of gunfire at a multi-family home on Franklin Avenue and located three unresponsive victims with gunshot wounds, said Lt. Woman Struck, Killed By Car Near CT Intersection A Connecticut woman crossing a busy roadway was hit and killed by a vehicle. Yarillis Esteras, age 43, of Hartford, was hit around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8 in the area of Franklin Avenue and Bliss Stree in Hartford. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived on the scene they found Esteras had been struck by a vehicle and was critically injured.
