More than 30 high schools across the Northeast have earned spots among the top 100 in the country, according to a new ranking. Niche has released its Best Public High Schools in America rankings for 2025. The list evaluates schools using data from the Department of Education, along with millions of student and parent reviews. Rankings are based on academics, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, and school culture. Father Killed In Crash While Riding Next To Son On I-684
A 46-year-old man was killed while riding his motorcycle next to his son on a busy interstate highway in the region. The crash happened on Sunday, Aug. 11 just after 9:30 a.m., when a man lost control of his motorcycle on northbound I-684 near Exit 4 in Bedford, according to New York State Police. Tributes are pouring in for a beloved NYPD officer who was killed alongside three others in an alleged drunk driving crash at a New York nail salon. Emilia Rennhack was off duty and getting her nails done when an SUV came barreling through the front window of Long Island’s Hawaii Nail & Spa, located in Deer Park on Commack Road, on Friday afternoon, June 28. The identities have been released of four people killed, including a police officer, and nine injured after an allegedly drunk driver crashed an SUV into a shop at a New York strip mall. A Chinese food delivery driver was found shot to death in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Bridgeport.
