Man Sentenced In Fires That Destroyed Historic Eastford Church, Woodstock Buildings A teenager who set a string of arson fires, including one that destroyed a nearly 200-year-old Connecticut church, will spend at least three years in prison, authorities announced.  The man pleaded guilty in June to a string of 2023 fires when he was 17 years old, the State's Attorney's Office said on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Fairfield County Home Heavily Damaged During Fire A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during an attic fire over the weekend.
