Massachusetts Man, Woman Admit To Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine Conspiracy
A Massachusetts man and woman have pleaded guilty to charges related to their roles in a fentanyl, heroin, crack and cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
Worcester County residents Ricky Figueroa, age 31, and 29-year-old Monica Troche, both of Fitchburg, entered the pleas in federal court on Tuesday, Nov. 30, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

Man From Region Sentenced For Multi-Drug Trafficking Conspiracy
A Massachusetts man was sentenced to five years in prison in connection with fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
Robert Young, 50, of Worcester, was sentenced on Thursday, Nov. 18, by U.S. District Court Judge Timothy S. Hillman.
According to court documents, in October 2018, Young pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine, cocaine base, and fentanyl.
In April 2017, law enforcement began investigating drug sales made by Young and co-conspirator Daniel Donald on Groton Street in Worcester, the US Attorney's Office said.

CT Man Sentenced For Fentanyl Distribution
A Connecticut man has been sentenced to 47 months in prison for distributing fentanyl, federal officials said.
Kyle Pitts, aka "Bark," age 37, of West Hartford, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 1, to prison time followed by three years of supervised release, said Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, in the summer of 2020, Hartford Police learned that Pitts and others were selling fentanyl and that Pitts was using his apartment on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford to store the drug.

Rapper Fetty Wap was among six men charged with running an elaborate cross-country drug distribution ring out of New York, authorities announced.
The rapper, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 28 by FBI agents at Citi Field.

CT Basketball Coach Charged With Enticement Of Minor, Drug Offenses
A former Connecticut basketball coach is facing federal charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting underage girls.
Danny Lawhorn, age 30, of Hartford, was charged by federal criminal complaint with child enticement and narcotics distribution offenses, according to an announcement from Leonard Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
Lawhorn is detained pending a hearing scheduled for Friday, Oct. 22, Boyle said. He has been in state custody since Tuesday, Oct. 5, when he was arrested on related state charges.

Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say
Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death.
Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.
The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
During an investigation into her death, Spann became the focus, Conklin said.
