CT State Trooper Arrested On Felony Charge
A Connecticut state trooper is facing a felony charge after turning himself in to police.
Trooper First Class Marwing Pena, 36, of Glastonbury, surrendered to Troop I on Wednesday, May 13, authorities said. He was charged with computer crime in the third degree, a Class D felony.
State police have not said what Pena is specifically accused of doing.

Brian “Sonny” Hewson was taken into custody on Friday, Feb. 20, in Charlotte County, Florida, Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso said.
Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the early morning hours near Harbor Boulevard and Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda, Florida, on Feb. 20, according to Mancuso.

A Connecticut man and convicted felon was arrested on additional drug charges after police allegedly found him with a stash of drugs and weapons.
The New Haven County arrest was made on Thursday, May 2 in the city of New Haven.

A 24-year-old man who brazenly left a Connecticut courthouse in the middle of a proceeding has been apprehended.
Marico Ellis, age 24, went missing from Hartford Superior Court just after noontime on Thursday, Aug. 25, wearing a black shirt and pants, according to Connecticut State Police.
The underlying charges for which Ellis was at court for include firearms, narcotics, and felony assault violations.
Ellis, a resident of Hartford, was not wearing shoes at the time, police said.

14-Year-Old Charged With Murder In Strangulation Of 13-Year-Old CT Girl
A 14-year-old Connecticut resident has been charged with murder and sexual assault in the June murder of a 13-year-old girl.
Hartford County resident Tristen Martin, of Manchester, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 12, following a five-month investigation into the death of Zaniya Wright of Manchester.
According to Lieutenant Ryan Shea, of the Manchester Police Department, Wright, a seventh-grade student at Illing Middle school, was discovered on Friday, June, 18, around 8:40 a.m. in a common area of the basement of the South Adams Apartment Complex.
