Man Shot In Head Was Talking When He Was Found At Hampden County Gas Station
A man shot in the head was talkative and alert when he was found at a Hampden County gas station on Saturday, Sept. 2. The man, whose name was not released, was found in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station on North Main Street in East Longmeadow just after 8 p.m., East Longmeadow police said. It's unclear how he ended up at the gas station. Paramedics took the man to a Baystate Medical Center, where East Longmeadow detectives spoke with him about how a bullet ended up in his skull. ID Released For Bicyclist Killed In Hit-Run Western Mass Crash
Authorities have identified a 62-year-old bicyclist killed a hit-and-run in East Longmeadow last week as Michael Wilson, of Springfield, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office reports. Wilson died after he was struck by a car at the intersection of North Main Street and Speight Arden around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, according to East Longmeadow Police on Facebook. Man Charged After Walking Away From Hit-Run Crash In Region, Police Say
A Western Massachusetts man who had been arrested the day before on drug charges was apprehended again by the same police department for an alleged hit-and-run crash the next day. Hampden County resident Kornstatin Gladysh, age 24, of Westfield, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 21 after East Longmeadow Police responded to a report of a crash. According to police, when officers responded to Pleasant Street for the crash, they noticed a man walking away from the scene.
