A 45-year-old Springfield woman who was severely attacked during a domestic dispute died early Thursday morning, May 16, of her wounds after more than two weeks in the hospital, authorities said. Quitiza L. Holmes, of the Burton/Holmes family, was found suffering from a severe head wound just before 5 a.m. on April 30 at a home on Federal Street.
