Rabid Coyote Bites Worker In CT, Tries Attacking Others: Officials
A coyote that attacked a worker earlier this week in Connecticut has tested positive for rabies, state officials confirmed. The animal bit a United Concrete employee as he arrived at work on Main Street in Wallingford on Tuesday, Dec. 3, around 6:30 a.m. Other workers at the facility said the animal had tried to attack others, per WTNH. The man was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries and treated for rabies after the animal tested positive for the fatal disease. Moose Struck, Killed By Car On CT Highway
Days after state officials put out warning for drivers to be on the lookout for moose along the state's highways, one was hit and killed by a vehicle. The incident took place in New Haven County around 6:50 a.m., Wednesday, May 17 in North Haven on northbound Route 15 -- known as the Wilbur Cross Parkway -- near exit 63, said the Connecticut State Police. The driver of the vehicle was not injured but the moose was killed, state police said.
