Flooded CT Farm Loses 90 Percent Of Crops: Here's How To Give Support
As a beloved Connecticut farm figures out how to recover from losing most of its crops to a freak flooding event, a fellow colleague is leading the effort to help them remain in business despite the massive loss. Hartford County staple Botticello Farms, located in Manchester at 209 Hillstown Rd., suffered the loss of 90 percent of its crops after a severe flooding event in July that left their fields almost completely flooded. Historic CT Church Severely Damaged By Fire: Support Rises For Rebuilding Effort
In the aftermath of a destructive fire that heavily damaged a more than 100-year-old church in New London County, community members are pulling together to make sure the beloved building gets a new lease on life. Effort Underway To Send CT Teen Who Drowned Home To Guatemala
Friends and strangers from the community are coming together to help send a young Connecticut teen who drowned while swimming with his family home to Guatemala for his funeral. New London County resident Jaimer Martin Ico Gregorio, of the city of New London, was located on Sunday, July 30, in the ocean off Dunes Park Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island.
