The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad was called to the island after unexploded World War II-era rockets once used in training exercises were discovered sticking out of the sand. Despite their age, the ordnance still posed a serious threat after exposure from the eroding dune. 'Apparent Pipe Bomb' Found In CT Apartment Building Forces Evacuation
Police evacuated a Connecticut apartment building after finding an "apparent pipe bomb" inside a recently vacated unit, authorities said. Officers were called to 127 Wyllys St. in the Dutch Point area of Hartford just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, after someone found the device. CT Storm Drain Explosion Leads To Bomb Scare
A storm drain explosion in a Connecticut city led to a bomb scare after a suspicious device was found. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 6 p.m., Mondy, April 29, in the area of Cross Street at Women's Way in Meriden. According to Lt. Authorities are investigating after a possible grenade was found buried in a yard in Connecticut. Police in Hartford County responded to a location on Troy Road in South Windsor at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, April 18, according to the South Windsor Police Department. A bomb threat led to police locking down Smith College in Western Massachusetts, which issued a shelter-in-place order to start the day. Shortly before 6:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 28 in Hampshire County, Smith College in Northampton announced that the threat had been made against Burton Hall, which sits in the heart of the campus.
