A man who police have been searching for months in connection with the stabbing of a Lyft driver in Fairfield County has been captured. The incident took place on Monday, June 27 in Darien around 10:30 p.m. in the area of West Avenue. According to Darien Police, while officers were responding to a vehicle crash they were updated that a Lyft driver had been stabbed and the suspect had fled the scene with the victim's cell phone. Wanted Out-Of-State Man Apprehended In Hudson Valley
An out-of-state man wanted for assaulting a woman was nabbed by police in the Hudson Valley. The man was apprehended in Ulster County while officers were conducting a warrant investigation on Tuesday, Aug. 23. While conducting the investigation, officers located AJ Brown, age unknown, of Gloucester, Massachusetts, living in the hamlet of Glasco, in the town of Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said. A 28-year-old man is in custody after investigators said he stabbed a Lyft driver multiple times in Fairfield County, causing a crash. Abiola Shonowo is now in Maryland awaiting extradition for the incident that happened in June in Darien, according to an announcement from the Darien Police Department on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
