Shark Attack: 2 American Women Seriously Injured At Bahamas Resort
Two American women suffered injuries in a rare Bahamas shark attack. The tourists were swimming in Bimini Bay, a popular resort, when the incident happened early Friday evening, Feb. 7, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force. A 21-year-old Connecticut man and University of New Haven student was killed in a crash after the vehicle he was riding in struck a tree, police said. The crash took place in New Haven around 3:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9 on Congress Avenue. Responding officers located a black Chevrolet Cruz that had struck a tree. Trailblazing, Sidney Poitier, the first Black actor to win an Oscar, a longtime New York resident has died. Bahamian Prime Minister Phillip Davis made the announcement that Poitier died on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the age of 94.
