Update - Western Mass Shooting: Infant Dies Shortly After Birth, Mom In Critical Condition This story has been updated. An infant died shortly after being delivered following a Hampden County shooting just before 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 in in Holyoke at the intersection of Maple and Sargeant Streets. A pregnant woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The infant, who was delivered, and needed life-saving medical services, tragically died, according to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, All involved suspects are believed to have been identified and transported to nearby hospitals and are in custody, the DA's Offoce said. …
