2 Killed In Fiery Crash After Car Careens Into Tree In Burlington Two people were killed this weekend in a fiery car crash in Hartford County, authorities said.  A Ford Taurus crashed near 61 Johnnycake Mountain Road in Burlington just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, Connecticut State Police said.  The Ford veered onto the shoulder of the road for an unknown reason before hitting a mailbox and being launched into a tree, police said. Angel Josiah Rodriguez was being cared for by family members in East Haven on Sunday, Oct. 6, when he was left unattended in a tub, police said. Police Respond To Threat At Danbury Fair Mall Police responded to a threat involving a popular mall in Connecticut. It happened late Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6 in Fairfield County at the Danbury Fair Mall. Danbury Police say officers responded to a report of a possible incident at the mall at around 4:30 p.m.  The officers quickly determined that the threat was not credible and there was no danger to the public, according to police.  "This incident remains under investigation as a swatting call," according to Danbury Police. The mall reopened for business as usual.

Possible CT Home Burglary Under Investigation Detectives in Fairfiefld County are investigating a possible home burglary after the resident found items disturbed. The incident occurred in Darien on Friday, at a multi-family residence on West Avenue. According to Sgt. Mauricio Vigil of the Darien Police, the resident told officers she found the blood-like substance in the bathroom and disturbed items after returning from work. The residence was unoccupied with the door unlocked; however, no items were reported missing, Vigil said.  The case remains under investigation by the Darien Detective Division.
