Fatal Crash: CT 65-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On I-84 A person was killed after being struck by a car in an early morning crash on a stretch of I-84 in Connecticut involving three Long Island residents. It happened around 5:10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, in Tolland County. A 2010 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound in the right-center lane between exits 65 and 66 in the town of Vernon when it struck a pedestrian who was lying in the travel lane for unknown reasons, according to Connecticut State Police. The collision occurred in New London County around 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the intersection of North Burnham Highway, Kimball Road, and Meadowbrook Drive in Libson.  According to the Connecticut State Police, Trevor Pawlak, age 33, and Jessica Fowler, age 33, both of Griswold, in New London County, were killed after a 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycle they were riding collided with a 2014 Volkswagen Passat attempting to make a turn. The pair that was killed has been identified as 32-year-old Carlos Jean Parra Rodriquez of Stratford, with his 21-year-old passenger Deivi Suarez of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
