New Haven's Famous Seal Gets Bobblehead, Raising Money For Marine Life Rescue A Long Island Sound celebrity with flippers has been immortalized with a special kind of collectible. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has created a bobblehead for "Chappy," the baby seal found on a New Haven road. Police spotted the five-week-old male near the intersection of Chapel and East streets on Sunday, Feb. 16. The Milwaukee museum will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from every Chappy bobblehead to the Mystic Aquarium, which is helping the gray seal recover. Early Morning Shooting Sends 4 To Hospital; Teen Woman Remains In Critical Condition An early morning shooting in New Haven sent four people to the hospital and left one woman clinging to life, authorities said.  New Haven police responded to the 800 block of Chapel Street around 2 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, after 911 callers reported multiple gunshots, detectives said. Officers found a 22-year-old from Hampden suffering from a bullet wound at the scene.
