"A surface low will stay too far offshore to bring snow, but an upper-level low could bring isolated to scattered snow showers Thursday afternoon and evening," said the National Weather Service.

After the storm moves out, it will be dry and blustery on Friday, Feb. 21, with wind gusts as high as 30 miles per hour, making it feel colder than the temperature, which will range in the 30s. Look for sunny skies during the day.

A gradual moderation in temperatures will start over the weekend, with the mercury climbing into the 40s for most locations on Sunday, Feb. 23.
