CT Teen Stole 3 Cars In Less Than Month; Has Prior Record Of Car Theft: Police
A 14-year-old Connecticut boy has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of car thefts, authorities said. The thefts occurred across Waterbury, beginning when a 2024 Nissan Kicks was stolen on Nov. 29. A 2011 Honda CR-V was boosted on Dec. 14, and a 2010 Subaru Impreza was taken on Christmas Eve, Waterbury police said. The department's auto theft task force linked all three incidents to the Waterbury teen. The boy's name was not released because of his age. A 21-year-old man faces charges after trying to steal from vehicles in a Connecticut parking lot, police announced. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Saturday, June 1 around 1:15 a.m., when a suspicious person was seen trying to open locked cars in the Center Street parking lot in Darien, according to Darien Police. CT Man Steals Car, Crashes Following Police Chase
A man has been arrested on charges including larceny after he allegedly stole a vehicle, committed multiple hit-and-runs, and eventually tried to evade police, causing a chase that ended in yet another crash. The New London County incident occurred on Wednesday, May 22 in the city of New London.
