'Oscars Of Teaching': CT Teacher Earns Prestigious Award For Her Work In, Out Of Classroom A Connecticut teacher was honored among the nation’s top educators in what is nicknamed the "Oscars of teaching." Jessica Chapman who teaches at  Norwich Free Academy in New London County was named a Milken Educator Award recipient, the organization announced.
