Waterbury Standoff Ends Peacefully

A standoff with a barricaded man ended after nearly three hours Thursday night, Oct. 3 in Waterbury, police said.

10/03/2024 5:34 p.m.

Police said only that the suspect inside of the home at 43 Central Ave. was safely taken into custody without injury at approximately 7 p.m.

Authorities were initially called to the home sometime around 4:50 p.m.

No further information was released.
