A Fairfield County man wanted for questioning in the murder of a 27-year-old mother has been found dead. 4 Charged With Selling Pot In Stratford Smoke Shop Bust
Four employees of a Fairfield County smoke shop have been charged with allegedly selling marijuana without a license. The arrests occurred on Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Cream Smoke Shop at 955 Ferry Blvd., in Stratford. According to Capt. Jerry Pinto of the Stratford Police, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit, recently investigated the activities at the shop, which is not licensed to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products. 2 Stratford Spa Workers Charged With Prostitution
Two women in their 60s have been charged with alleged prostitution after a search warrant was executed at a Fairfield County spa. The warrants were served in Stratford at the Garden Spa, 1804 Barnum Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 29. According to Stratford Police Captain Jerry Pinto, the department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit recently investigated the spa's activities. A 37-year-old Fairfield County man was allegedly nabbed in a stolen Silverado after Connecticut State Police spotted the truck that had been reported stolen. The arrest occurred in Bridgeport around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, when the trooper was monitoring traffic on southbound I-95. An alleged mid-level drug dealer was busted by police in Fairfield County following a joint investigation with the FBI Safe Street Task Force. The bust went down at the "stash" apartment at 20 East Ave., in Stratford of Angel Nunez, age 32, of Bridgeport, on Tuesday, July 23. According to Capt. Police, family, and friends are mourning the loss of a longtime and much beloved Fairfield County police officer who died unexpectedly. Stratford Officer Ken Kubel, age 56, died earlier this week. A Fairfield County man was arrested after allegedly shooting his wife while attempting to shoot his stepson during a fight.
