Fatal Crash: 22-Year-Old Slams Into Concrete Barrier On I-84, CT State Police Say
Police are investigating a crash on a busy Connecticut roadway that left one person dead.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, May 7 on I-84 in West Hartford.
A 2010 Toyota minivan was traveling on the westbound side near Exit 40 on the left shoulder, when, for an unknown reason, the operator lost control and traveled across all three lanes of travel, and across the right shoulder, Connecticut State Police said.

CT Store Permanently Closing After 66 Years In Business
A store in Connecticut is set to close after decades in business.
The Toy Chest, located in West Hartford, will permanently close after 66 years so the owner and managers can retire, according to a report from We-Ha.com.
The store, located at 973 Farmington Ave., is set to close at the end of January, the news outlet reported.
WFSB reported the store's closing sale began on Saturday, Jan. 7, with all merchandise being priced at 50 percent off.

Mother, Son, 55-Year-Old Woman ID'd As Victims Of Triple-Fatal Christmas West Hartford Crash
Police have released the identities of three people killed in a two-car Christmas Day crash in Connecticut, including a mother and son.
The crash took place in West Hartford around 6:50 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 25, on Simsbury Road near Timberwood Road.
Novellette Bailey, age 55, Faye Dawson-Judkins, age 52, and Raheim Dantae Berry Nelson, age 17, all of Hartford, were killed in the crash, West Hartford police said.
