Man Killed In Single-Car CT Crash
A Connecticut man was killed during an early-morning single-car crash. The crash took place in Hartford County around 1:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 12 in South Windsor, near the intersection of Nevers Road and Graham Road. According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, of the South Windsor Police, the driver of the vehicle, an Audi sedan, was determined to be the only occupant. Car Crashes Into Brook, Leaks Fluid In South Windsor
Authorities are cleaning up a brook in Hartford County after a car crashed into it and contaminated it with fluid. The incident happened in South Windsor on Tuesday, May 16, when a car veered off of Frazer Fir Road and into a small brook, according to the South Windsor Fire Department. The driver suffered minor injuries, fire officials said, adding that no one else was in the car. The fire department helped a wrecker service remove the car from the brook. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials were also on the scene to help clean the fluid leak.

Garbage Truck Dumps Flaming Trash: South Windsor Fire Caused By Flammable Item
A pile of flaming trash disrupted a quiet residential neighborhood in South Windsor after a flammable item caused a blaze inside a garbage truck. The incident happened on Wednesday, Feb. 1 around 10:30 a.m. when an All American Waste large garbage truck picked up someone's trash that had a flammable item in it, according to the South Windsor Fire Department. This caused the trash inside the truck to ignite, which led to the truck dumping all of the garbage in a pile in the quiet neighborhood of Farmsteads Drive and Brook Street.
