12 Students, Staff Taken To Hospital After Falling Ill, CT Schools Evacuated Multiple students and staffers fell ill on Thursday morning, Feb. 27, at a Windham County school, forcing administrators to evacuate the building and send several to an area hospital for evaluation.  Firefighters were called to the school complex at  785 Riverside Drive in Thompson — made up of Mary Fisher Elementary School, Thompson Middle School, and Tourtellotte Memorial High School — after middle school students and staff members complained of feeling unwell, NBC Connecticut said.  Authorities evacuated the three schools for what was believed to be a carbon monoxide …
