These CT Eateries Named Best Restaurants For Wine, New Rankings Say
Several Connecticut restaurants are the cream of the crop when it comes to their wine offerings, according to new rankings released by Wine Spectator.
A total of 36 eateries were recognized as winners of the 2024 Restaurant Awards released by Wine Spectator, a publication that serves as a leading authority on wine.
The restaurants named as winners of the awards, which were made public on Tuesday, June 25, are (by county):

Man Killed In Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash, CT State Police Say
One Connecticut man is dead and another seriously injured after one of the vehicles crossed the center-median into oncoming traffic on I-84, according to authorities.
The crash took place in New Haven County in Middlebury on I-84 around 7 a.m., Thursday, April 7, said the Connecticut State Police.
John Paul Dowling, age 72, of Naugatuck was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
Tolland County resident John Fredrick Dutton, age 64, of Tolland was taken to Waterbury Hospital with serious injuries, they added.

On Friday, Dec. 3 In Hartford County, Windsor resident Christopher Wujek won a $785,000 “MEGA Multiplier!” CT Lottery ticket that was sold to him at the Deerfield Package on Deerfield Road in Windsor.

On Monday, Nov. 29, a Trumbull resident cashed in a winning $300,000 “$1,000,000 Golden Riches” scratch-off lottery ticket that was sold at the Trumbull Super Stop on Main Street in Fairfield County.
