A Massachusetts man pleaded guilty to charges related to cocaine trafficking, firearms, money laundering, and tax return fraud.
According to an announcement from the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, William Hoey, age 41, of Worcester, pleaded guilty on Monday, March 7, to the following charges:

Man Charged After Cops Seize 1,500 Bags Of Heroin, $250K In Cash In Springfield
A Western Massachusetts man has been arrested after allegedly being caught with 1,500 bags of heroin and more than $250,000 in cash.
Hampden County resident Alvaro Flores, age 61, of Holyoke was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 26 following a multi-agency investigation that led to a search warrant of his home, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police.
During the search agents seized more than 1500 bags of heroin and a loaded firearm, Walsh said.
An additional search warrant led detectives to a safety deposit box where an additional $257,000 in cash was seized, Walsh said.

A 62-year-old Fairfield County man has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for trafficking narcotics.
Kevin Lucas, also known as "Dutch," of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 19, said Leonard C Boyle, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Police in Fairfield County nabbed a man wanted for fleeing from officers and possession of a handgun.

Man Charged For Fatal Shooting Outside Lounge In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man has been charged with the murder of another man outside an area lounge.
Robert Sorrells, age 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 21 for the murder of Jonathan DaSilva, according to Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport Emergency Management.
Bridgeport Police Det. Robert Winkler obtained an arrest warrant for Sorrells, charging him with fatally shooting DaSilva earlier this month outside of the VIP Lounge on Pembroke Street, Appleby said.
