5-Alarm Fire Tears Through $2.5M Historic Central Mass Mansion
An early morning fire on Friday, March 1, severely damaged a historic mansion in Worcester County. Northridge firefighters were called to the Whitinsville Lasell Manor just after 1 a.m. to reports of a blaze, a Facebook post said. The flames grew fast, and the blaze quickly became a 5-alarm fire. Fairfield County Home Heavily Damaged During Fire
A Fairfield County home was heavily damaged during an attic fire over the weekend. The fire happened in Stratford around 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 at 9 Alvord St. On arrival, Stratford firefighters reported heavy fire on the west side exterior and in the attic of the home, said Stratford Assistant Fire Chief Robert Daniel. The American Red Cross is assisting two families in Connecticut after a fire tore through a multi-family home. In New Haven County, a fire broke out in Naugatuck inside an Andrew Avenue home shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, which required a heavy response from local departments. The fire broke out in a third-floor attic that was part of an apartment inside the multi-family home, according to a Naugatuck Fire Department spokesperson.
