Father Of 2 Killed In I-95 Wrong-Way Crash, Another Hospitalized
A 47-year-old Connecticut man was killed this week after a car going the wrong way on I-95 collided with his vehicle, authorities said. Mark Palumbo Jr., of Madison in New Haven County, was driving his Mustang GT south along I-95 between exits 66-65 in Westbrook when the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, Connecticut State Police said. Man Guilty In Fatal Shooting Of CT Husband, Father Of 3
A 49-year-old Maryland man was found guilty of gunning down a Connecticut father of three in 2020, authorities said. Rashad Hardy was found guilty on Aug. 28 of murder, carrying a pistol with a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm, the Connecticut State Attorney's Office said. Hardy was convicted of killing Ricky Newton, age 36, of New Haven, on Rosette Street in July 2020, police said. Connecticut fire investigators are looking into what sparked a house fire that left a family of five homeless and a firefighter injured. The blaze began in Fairfield County around 8:20 p.m. at a house in the 40 block of Alpine Street in Bridgeport, authorities said.
