A man from Brooklyn, New York was nabbed after he posed as a member of the Geek Squad in order to scam a Connecticut resident, police said.
The Fairfield County incident happened on Tuesday, Feb. 6 in the town of Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, 27-year-old Bin Sun sent an email to the elderly victim, who was not named, claiming a charge of $525 from the Geek Squad.

Fairfield Man Nabbed With Child Porn, Police Say
A man was charged with alleged possession of child pornography following a months-long investigation in Connecticut.
Matthew Wood, age 50, of Fairfield, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 22, by Stratford Police.
In October, Stratford detectives, using software to target suspects obtaining child sexual abuse material, initiated an investigation into Wood, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

The man suspected to be behind a Connecticut jewelry store heist was arrested after he allegedly tried to strike a second time, police announced.
Juan J. Aviles, age 30, was arrested in connection to the Fairfield County crime, which happened in the town of Fairfield, the town’s police department said on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
Aviles is thought to have been the person who smashed the front window of Lenox Jewelers, located at 2500 Black Rock Turnpike on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at approximately 11:30 p.m.
