A man and woman are dead in Fairfield County from an apparent murder-suicide in which the man stabbed himself in front of a police officer. The incident took place in Danbury around 12:10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 27 on High Ridge Road. According to Det. Capt. Mark Williams of the Danbury Police, an officer on patrol heard a verbal altercation in the area of High Ridge Road and Scuppo Road. Man Stabbed Multiple Times By Person He Knew In Fairfield County, Police Say
Police are currently investigating the multiple stabbing of a 57-year-old Fairfield County man who was found at a city shopping plaza. The incident took place in Danbury around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Mill Ridge Plaza. According to Danbury Police Det. Capt. Mark Williams, what led up to the stabbing is unclear at this time, but all involved parties have been identified, "It appears that the victim and the assailant(s) are known to each other, and the attack was not random," Williams said. Two Charged After Fight, Shots Fired At Diner In Fairfield County
Two men were arrested for an alleged fight at a Fairfield County diner in which shots were fired. The incident took place in Danbury around 4 a.m., Sunday, July 24, at Elmer's Diner on Padanaram Road. Danbury Police officers responded to the diner for the report of a fight with gunshots being fired. Officers who responded to the area discovered a fight had occurred in the diner before their arrival, said Danbury PD Det. Capt. Mark Williams.
