18 Rescued Following Westport Rowing Club Accident At Compo Beach
Eighteen teens and juveniles, in addition to several others, were rescued after three rowing sculls overturned and the chase boat took on water at a Fairfield County beach. The incident occurred off Westport off Compo Beach on Long Island Sound around 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 20. According to Lt. Police Investigating After Racist Graffiti Found At Fairfield County Town's Basketball Courts
An investigation is underway after racist graffiti was found on a Fairfield County town's basketball courts. Parks and Recreation employees discovered the graffiti on the basketball courts at Compo Beach in Westport on the evening of Tuesday, July 26, officials announced. The employees contacted the Westport Police Department, and officers responded and opened an investigation into the incident, according to the report. Four Vehicles Stolen, One House Burglarized In Fairfield County
Four vehicles were stolen and a home burglarized in Fairfield County overnight. The first incident was reported around 6 a.m., Friday, Aug. 20 when officers responded to a home in Westport in the Compo Beach area of town. An investigation found one or more suspects entered the unlocked home and stole a purse as well as the key fobs for two separate vehicles.
