Seen Him? Waterbury Police Asking For Help Locating Shooting Suspect Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help locating a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in a city park. The incident occurred in New Haven County on Sunday, Aug. 25, around 6 p.m. at Schofield Park in Waterbury. According to Waterbury Police Lt. Michael Freilich died in his sleep from natural causes on Friday, Dec. 17, according to his obituary. He was 30 years old. Born in Kentucky in 1991, Freilich was raised in West Hartford and was well-known on the basketball courts around town. His passion for the sport was obvious, and he was a force to be reckoned with at Morley and the JCC, those who knew him said.
